Festa del Marrone (Chestnut Festival)

"Festa del Marrone” promotes the most famous local product, the chestnut, and aims to spread knowledge about Campiglia and its customs. The town is divided into districts; each organizes the festival with the help of the entire population. 

The three districts, Agitati, Dentro and Borgassero, decorate the most characteristic streets of their neighborhoods according to a specific theme: the choice can fall on historical and religious themes (as there are many notable circumstances related to our area), cultural themes linked to local traditions (agriculture, chestnuts, arts and crafts, and so on), or themes of various origins, including fantasy. Tourists are most welcome to get acquainted with Campiglia d’Orcia and its traditions through one of the liveliest events of this period.
